Fudall's GM Application

Project Trial Gamemaster
After taking some more time to think and hearing some other community members speak on the subject, I’m going to formulate a more educated view on the app here.
- While someone who has been on the server for years like myself might know Fudall and had a few conversations with him here and there, I’ve never had a true just talk with Fudall. While I’m sure he’s a great guy, I’ve never experienced it myself. The player base has definitely changed from those times with many new faces and many faces leaving. A bit of a generational difference is the best way I can put it. With this, not many people actually know Fudall.
- On top of that, the new player base seems to have this fanaticism with Fudall. From some of the messages I’ve read in different channels in completely different discords, Fudall is seen as near untouchable. Now this is no fault of his by any means, he was simply doing what he wanted to do. Power to him on that. This point is not quite a knock against Fudall, but something that should be taken into account when reviewing the application.
- Moving on to Fudall as a Gamemaster. As a GM, Fudall is outstanding. The stories he’s crafted and the dupes he’s supplied to many of the GM team (Myself included) have, quite frankly, carried some of us. Especially myself. This is one of Fudall’s greatest contributions to the server.
- I’ve been personally tossing around this application in my head all day today. After taking down my initial response, a few more people posted replies and spoke upon the subject in a few chats I happen to be a part of. Reading the responses, I got a better understanding of the situation. While it may feel like Fudall hasn’t been gone for a long time to myself, to others, they don’t even recognize the name “Fudall” and the weight it holds.
- I’m sure a lot of his HERMIT squad memebers are overjoyed to see him back, and that’s wonderful. But I believe that it is just too early to apply for GM. My suggestion is to intermingle with the community a bit more and let them really know who Fudall is.
