With the new update comes ALOT of changes, these were made to hopefully provide a more inclusive Roleplay experience to any new players that might join. If you are one of these new players and are confused by everything or maybe you are a returning player overwhelmed by the changes, I will be going over every change made so far and what the plans for future tweaks and fixes will be.

Renegade Squad System:

While the main bedrock has remained the same, classes have been changed and re-equipped with new weaponry, as of 7/30, until 8/6, all classes besides ARC Trooper & Republic Commando are not cert-locked. This means you have free reign to play on a medic, heavy, recon, and EOD class without the necessary certifications you would need normally.

This does not mean your certs were wiped, after the week, all Staff Members will begin handing out the certs that you held previously. If you are missing any after the trial period, contact one of our Support Staff and they will help.

In addition, there has been a new tab called "Operators". This is essentially your normal class but with tweaked stats, some operator classes may have increased HP/armor, some may have a different weapon than that of the main class. To switch your Operator loadout, simply hit F4 to open the RSS menu, click on "customize soldier" and on the right you should see the tab called "Operators".

Helix:

Helix is the equivalent of a bedrock foundation like the darkrp base, if you've ever played on a nutscript server before, you will notice it's similar. Although, Helix is much more polished and runs much more smoothly.

Along with this, certain commands have been changed, these include

/announce - changed to /event
/rp - removed, instead, use /advert and put a * infront of your message.
Example: "/advert *checks backpack for slicing kit"

The Westar-M5 rework & Westar-M90:

The new Westar-M5 and Westar-M90 come with their own attachments and purpose. In particular, the Westar-M90 fills an SMG/Close-quarters void that ARC troopers previously did not have. Keep in mind these weapons are locked as of now to the ARC trooper class, of which you can only obtain by completing a full ARC Cycle. Although, there are plans to make the M90 available to everyone once part 2 of the Helix update comes, which will focus more on crafting than anything.

Bugs:

It's no secret that this update brought a lot of bugs that need to be ironed out, one of the main reasons this update was released so soon was to locate these bugs and make sure that they are ironed out eventually. These known bugs are,

- Players spawning where they die
- Nordhal Spawn Blocks not working
- Incorrect bodygroups on spawn
- Frequent crashes due to the particle error
- Throwable ammo crates not dispensing ammo
- +prhook missing
- Thermal Det. Operative not giving the thermal detonator

I will update this thread when these bugs are fixed. Rest assured these are being patched asap. Thank you for your patience.

Future Plans:

With all of this being said, much work is still to be done for the helix update to be officially complete. Currently, the plan is to patch all known bugs and continue work on the crafting system.

Information regarding this is locked to only Staff Members for now, so stay tuned.

Wait, I thought spawning where you died was an intentional feature.
