I get that the server pop is 100 because we can now handle it, however, that's not important if we don't reach anywhere near there. Actually, I believe that such a high pop limit has negative effects, mostly in terms of new players looking at the server through the browser. Just, for example, say you see two identical servers in the list:
1. Has 20/100 players
2. Has 20/40 players
While both servers are equally populated, the difference is clear. The first server is implied to be at a much lower count then it should be, while the second one could be implied to be a medium population server that has a good playercount. Some may not see it the same way, but I consider % of the max pop a lot more often than pure playercount. Either way, lowering it to 40, or even 50 I think would benefit the server significantly, and then, from there, there is always the option to raise the limit if for some reason it does get hit.
