I have been working on a little story since I went big brain and decided I wanted the jawa model. I'm aware it's a very dumb model and concept in general but I wanted to make it work, I felt it had the potential to be a good character with good intentions and horrid flaws beyond simple physical and discriminatory restrictions.
So without really editing this beyond reading it over once or twice and rewording certain structures, I feel like I'm ready to share it. The intentions of this story, and series of chapters to follow (hopefully, unless I somehow lose motivation), are to not really dwell solely on the character himself, but a journey as he meets different perspectives in life from all kinds in the Star Wars universe. I of course included some general concepts of his thoughts near the end of the chapter, and I might continue to do that, but the majority of the time will be focused on progressing the story and meeting these different people.
I never read Mencken's book, "A Book of Prefaces", but I heard about it through another short story called "Library Card" that my English Class dissected several weeks ago, so that's what I'm aiming for in a very vague referential sense.
The story will be available here when finished chapters are posted, always, and I'll try to continue working on this when I have spare time. I write in a separate doc because I don't like being stared at when I'm working on something.
