Taking somethings seriously

Okay this is not going to be about being serious about things 24/7, fuck that. Anyways we take somethings that are not serious, serious like making jokes and, and little stuff like that.
Most of the time the jokes are harmless like someone "it looks like someone tried to fix that hull breach with flex tape" little stuff like that is completely harmless, and somewhat realistic of how actual soldiers act like, but when someone commits a war crime it is shoved off, and treated like nothing happened.

It is understandable when a ARC/Commando or high ranking officer commits a warcrime for it to be pushed under the rug, but definitely NOT the average trooper or even a captain at that, if a captain executed a prisoner, they at least would get a warning, and if they did it again it is a court-martial, a PVT does it one time it's a court-martial.
We have in my oppinion committed to many warcrimes, I mean seriously if this was real life even the special forces would've been court martialed, because it has happened, so much that it would just be a problem for the republic.
I am not saying stop doing it just please don't let there be warcrimes out the asshole

I agree there are too many war crimes, however, war crimes make it interesting. Sort of a twist feel. Otherwise, you have, "Droids took a base, take it back" or "Pirates are stealing shit, go take em out". It gets boring, war crimes add a layer to the story.

I think we do it to a point where we are simply murderers and or terrorists, the Republic Have Morals that they want to keep and we don’t do the best job at obeying these morals, maybe we should try to do more things that aren’t ‘do it cause we can’ sort of deal and follow Republic ideology. Sure we can do the occasional war crime to keep it interesting but I can’t take us as being Republic with the war crimes I see committed by us

I can see what you're talking about with the war crimes stuff.....
We've set off a nuke on Naboo killing millions of civilians,
Killed an ally Venator (The Renault)
Executed civilians then proceded to deface their bodies
Killed a CIS representative when hired to protect him
All of this has happened in the past week...
