ATK Battalions should have a Flame Trooper CERT mostly so we can be better at clearing large waves of hostiles. Yes blaster fire works too but with flamethrowers more specifically the vfire flamethrower we would be able to have a larger spread of damage on hostiles, this would give troopers the ability to clear out hostiles faster and therefore be able to get to the objective a lot faster and would decrease the chances of troopers being pinned down by B1's or StormTroopers. This is an idea i've had for a while now so I yearn for your feedback.

Vfire decimates the server. Like not in terms of killing NPCs, but if you ran out with flamethrowers with like 45+ people on for an event, you could say goodbye to the server as it crashes

Remember when the 21st was getting these. We had 6 whole members. That ended well...
P.S- No this is a bad idea. It Lags the shit out of everyones game & leads to a lot of friendly FIRE badumchh.

Flamethrowers not only lag, their range is inefficient, friendly fire (literally) is extremely common, and it turns into more of an annoyance than anything. -1

I like having frames on the server, thank you. As stated above, the fire would devastate our own troops, destroy the server, and you'd have to be point blank with the enemy to actually hit them.
IRL flamethrowers were used to clear out bunkers and really nothing else. We almost never deal with fortified enemies.

The only ones allowed to use flamethrowers as non-event charactesr, are myself and Naz, me being that my Republic Agent, R2-D2, is equipped with one for combat purposes. At the same time, I also specifically have a console bind that removes all vfire effects and extinguishes everything in order to combat lag, in addition, I tend to specifically use my jetpack to distance myself from friends and get to an effective range with B1s, Point being, a flame trooper is only effective if they are also a jet trooper, and staff. As they have to monitor the lag and combat it. Not to mention, I use the less laggy ZX flamethrower under deathwatch, the initial fire effects aren't as complicated and don't cause as much lag, whilst the Vfire advantages (and fire remainders) stay.

Tldr: Only one person can be a pyromaniac at a time, and that person should in general, have high mobility and have the ability to insta clear the big lag.

On another note: There was talk of there being a second VIP tier, or adding flame trooper to BViP, not really sure how that turned out tho.

As to what Fixer said, even in TCW, Flametroopers took a spotlight during the 2nd battle of geonosis when Jet’s Company and Ki-Adi Mundi were ambushed in a geonosian cave full of bugs. It was CQC and flametroopers were used as a final push to clear out the bugs. To summarize, flametroopers are pretty much only good for CQC, but flames in CQC can get a lot of friendlies killed including the user of the armament
