Have you ever been kicked/warned/banned? If yes, explain in detail:
Yes (kicked) I was testing a pac thing with some troopers aboard the ship and I handed up killing a couple of them
Do you have any experience being staff on GMOD? If yes state what server, positions and time period:
-PGN Star Wars RP (DISCONTINUED)
Position: Moderator
Time Period: 2016-2017, 2 years
-Project Renegade SWRP
Position: Game Master
Time Period: 2017-2019, 2 years
Do you have experience with Serverguard commands?
Yes
What can you bring to the Staff team?:
Loyalty, experience, enhancing the overall experience for both the player base and myself, and being a helping hand in events for fellow GMs.
Why would you like to join the PR staff team?:
I want to help and contribute more to the server that I had missed. I had a great time while being a part of the Staff team but had to leave due to school and personal life. This time, with more flexibility to my overall schedule, I would like to continue helping to create fun events and enjoyable passiveRP scenarios for the players when it is downtime.
Why should we accept you over other applicants?:
I have experience with GM, I get along with most people and I am dedicated to put in more time than normal to ensure each person leaves the server satisfied with their experience and time, whether it be passiveRP or event wise.
Sample event (typed up event script):
Buried Truths
Location: Inner Rim
Western Reaches Sector
Jakku system
Planet of Jakku; Sector B8
Mission Coordinator: CPT. Baxter
The Briefing:
Troopers, we’ll be deporting shortly to a planet called Jakku. The reasoning of going to this desolate planet is because recently, a naval intelligence reconnaissance frigate had lost contact with Coruscant. This vessel was carrying logs on a new R&D ship which had crashed into the planet.
The plan is simple, and is split into three steps:
- Land and locate the crashed naval intelligence frigate
- Locate the black box
- Defend the crash site and the black box
Once all three objectives are found and complete, evac will be called in and the wrecks will safely detonate by a clean up crew coming in after you.
Equipment:
3x TX-130/L
2x Z-6 Rotary Cannons
2x DLT-23v
What occurs during the event:
Step 1: Troopers will land and await communications to be established with command ( Allowing any last final touches to be made for the event). Once that is done, they will proceed to go to the crashed frigate on the map and look for any survivors and the black box. If the black box is missing from the ship, they need to go to the various points of interests on the map to check whether or not the black box is there.
Step 2: Once the black box is secure the troopers will pull back to a place where there is ample cover from enemy forces and proceed to fend off the enemy forces until a set amount of time is passed, however as the waves are killed, more difficult enemies will spawn.
*Note through the exploration of the map, troopers may receive bonuses during this step.
Step 3: Troopers will clear out any remaining forces and then signal for a quick evacuation as both the frigate and the crashed R&D ship blows up.
What is one key thing that should be exercised while running an event?
When running or creating an event, the GM should have the players best interests at heart whether it be from a storytelling perspective or a gameplay perspective. Players don’t want to be bombarded constantly with nigh impossible odds in which they just spawn die, spawn die, spawn die. Players also don’t want pointless story beats that are convoluted to find or understand, since it will just waste both their time and yours. A blend of simple but stubble storytelling and challenging but rewarding battles can go a long way in creating a healthy relationship with the server, GMs, and the player base.
