I rarely see anyone play the demolitions class anymore, and when they do they just switch to it when they are placing a detonator charge, as an EOD Trainer I get frustrated with the fact that the majority of people who attend Training/Tests are only there because the cert is required for ARC.

By no means is this the trooper's fault, I just want people to attend the training and test because they want to genuinely play the class, though this can't happen with its current restrictions. Those being,

- The ability not to fire their rockets at ground targets
- Spawning with an RPG that only has 3 rounds that they rarely use
- Rarely being able to use any of the EOD equipment altogether.

To fix this I suggest the following,

- Allow Demolitions troopers to fire the RPG on CERTAIN ground targets (Tri-Droids, AATs, MTTs, etc)
- Add 3 Thermal Detonators to the Demolitions class

I understand that this gives the ability for people to abuse the equipment, especially with explosives, but it is the EOD Cert Trainers responsibility to make sure they are giving the cert to qualified individuals.

i blame valiant.

For real, though. This has been brought up a few times, and nothing was done at any time. I don't really get on anymore, but from what I know, the RPG not being able to be used on ground targets wasn't put in place by the EOD trainers, but rather, someone complained about people using the rps-6 on groups of b1s and b2s that caused it to be put into place. besides that, imo, I don't think that thermal dets need to be added to the class. In the grand scheme of things, they're not really demolitions tools, they're just droid killers.

About the "Rarely being able to use any of the EOD equipment altogether" point, that's something that's been brought up with the gm team a couple of times, and ultimately, there's nothing we can do about it but ask and ask and ask for them to finally do EODRP. I think Evan had the idea of making a slicer-esque minigame out of it during the last conversation had about it.

Overall, I do think the Demolitions class needs a buff, but I'm not sure that those two suggestions would fix the issue. It's just not that viable a class in the first place, and the only reason people would use it is for the easy clearing potential.

This is kind of true, im pretty sure the real reason though is because the RPG's just dont hurt the nextbot npcs. It might hurt the B1's I dont remember. I do agree though EOD needs a buff.

No to grenades, it won't end well.

If Evan could work on a rocket that could target the hitbox of Tri-Droids, and other big machines etc. . . it would really bring much more demos onto the field.

If this said new rocket would be given to the demo class I must advise for more harsher penalties for demos if they shoot at infantry based droids such as B1s, B2s, etc. . . and/or somehow kill or harm troopers with the rocket.

All those "buffs" will not end well. You will do 100 percent more damage to the players the then NPCs guarenteed

Everything that's listed as a means of restriction to the demolitions class. Was the result of someone doing that which caused said restrictions to be placed. Personally with the updates in the current enemy droids, I'd say this is fine. But as everything can be made easier.

It also poses a risk for those bad-apples to come in and re-enforce the restrictions that were set on it in the first place.

To continue, to allow troopers to be given detonators, let alone to a demolitions class to those dedicated enough to pull it off. It's your responsibility and understanding that you took the role of being an EOD cert trainer that you'd follow these restrictions by any means until the upper staff deems that these restrictions are un-fit.

Also the rockets for “AA”? A dc-15a is 10x better. I agree it needs a buff ( I personally think breacher needs one too), but don’t like the idea of grenades. People already get in enough trouble for grenade spamming anyways
